SCREENING CRITERIA FOR STUDENTS OF VIGYAN MANTHAN YATRA 2009-10
1. As per Government reservation norms 50% General, 16% Schedule Caste (SC), 20% Schedule Tribes (ST), and 14% Other Backward Classes (OBC) students was selected from each region and class of Madhya Pradesh out of which at least 30% are girl students and 3% physically handicapped category.
2. In case of shortage of ST students, seats are to be filled by SC or vice versa. In case of shortage of students in both these categories, seats are allotted to students of OBC and general category.
3. Out of 608 students participation from each class (8th 9th, 10th,11th and 12th) is decided according to list.
4. Students selected from MP Board is 75% approximately and remaining 25% is from CBSE & CICSC Boards according to proportion of schools in the state.
5. Basic selection is done on the basic of academic performance of previous classes.
6. A minimum of 75% marks is considered as cut off.
7. In case of equal percentage of marks, the performance on the basis of marks in science and mathematics in final examination of their previous class is considered.
8. It is also informed to all concerned to submit certified copies of mark sheets and certificates attested by principals of concerned schools/ institutes and bring original documents for verification during registration .
9. Based on the above criteria a final list of 608 students is prepared and displayed in the MPCST website www.mpcost.nic.in and www.mpmissionexcellence.org. The selected students are also informed separately by post.
